How we report, source, and disclose

Editorial guidelines

PerfxAd reports in the third person, observational voice. We do not advocate for or against any vendor, platform, or regulatory position unless explicitly framed as opinion. All opinion pieces are labeled "Opinion" above the headline.

Source usage

Every numerical or factual claim cites a source. Sources include public earnings calls, regulatory filings, third-party reports (with the vendor named), and documents reviewed by our editors. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is newsworthy and cannot be obtained on the record; in such cases, we describe the source's position and basis for knowledge.

Conflict of interest

PerfxAd does not sell advertising technology products or services. We do not accept payment for coverage. If an editor or reporter has a financial interest in a company mentioned in an article, it is disclosed in the byline area.

Corrections policy

When we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the top of the article with the date of correction and a description of what changed.

Sponsored content

Sponsored content is clearly labeled "Sponsored" above the headline and in the article metadata. Sponsored articles are not written by PerfxAd editorial staff. The sponsor has no editorial control over non-sponsored content.

AI tool usage

PerfxAd editors may use AI tools for research assistance, copy editing, and translation drafts. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and verified by human editors before publication. AI tools are never used to generate source citations, quotes, or data.

AI crawler policy

PerfxAd allows AI search engines and training crawlers to access our content. As a publication, being cited by AI systems is a form of distribution. Our robots.txt explicitly allows GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and other major AI crawlers. This policy is reviewed quarterly.
